This coeducational secondary school is seeking a flexible, dynamic and vision orientated teacher to join our team.
We have a full time, fixed term vacancy in our Science Learning Area but there may also be opportunities to teach across other Learning Areas in the school. Please state other areas of expertise or interest and in particular, any senior specialist areas.
In 2024, after several years of research and planning, we launched our innovative and progressive semester-based curriculum structure, designed to inspire students to become passionate about their learning. Our focus is on promoting engagement and meaningful learning through contextualised courses and allowing students greater choice and agency over the subjects they choose.
Our school is driven by a focus on genuine student and whānau connection and a desire to explore new learning opportunities as we guide our ākonga through Years 9 to 13. Nearly all of our teaching staff are Whānau Teachers who contribute to our pastoral system by looking after the well-being of students and building a sense of whanaungatanga.
Set in the heart of Southland, the school is embedded in a strong and supportive community, with students, staff and whānau involved in a wide range of opportunities, both in and out of the classroom, designed to inspire and guide our students to be confident in their learning, strong in their relationships and connected to their community.
