An opportunity is available for an Early Childhood Teacher to join a small, high‑quality preschool located in the Wellington CBD. This centre offers a calm, structured learning environment with a strong focus on supporting children’s transition to school.
This boutique preschool is licensed for children aged 2–5 years and intentionally keeps numbers low, with fewer than 30 children and a team of four qualified teachers. The small size allows for deep relationships, consistency, and genuinely knowing each child as a learner.
The centre’s philosophy emphasises intentional teaching, structured learning, and school readiness, while still valuing play, wellbeing, and social development. The programme focuses on early literacy, numeracy, group learning, routines, and learning dispositions that support children to move confidently into primary school.
You will work collaboratively with an experienced and fun teaching team to deliver a balanced programme that supports both individual learning and purposeful group experiences. This role suits a teacher who values structure, routines, and supporting preschool‑aged children as they prepare for school.
