We are working on behalf of a New Zealand secondary school seeking an experienced and passionate Head of Science Faculty to lead and shape its Science learning area.

We are looking for an experienced Science leader who:
Is an effective, engaging and enthusiastic Science teacher
Has previous HOD, Faculty Leader or strong curriculum leadership experience
Provides confident curriculum and pedagogical leadership
Can lead, support and develop a collaborative Science team
Has experience teaching Science within a secondary school environment
Has a sound understanding of curriculum planning, assessment and student achievement
Values relational and trauma-informed practice
Builds strong relationships with students, colleagues and the wider community
Wants to make a genuine difference to young people and their educational outcomes
To be considered, you will need:
A recognised teaching qualification
New Zealand Teacher Registration and a current Practising Certificate, or eligibility to obtain these
Relevant secondary Science teaching experience
Previous leadership experience within Science or a related curriculum area
The legal right to live and work in New Zealand, or eligibility to obtain the appropriate New Zealand work visa
Ability to meet all relevant safeguarding, reference and compliance requirements
