This is a welcoming Catholic primary school with just under 200 students.
The school is known for its calm, supportive atmosphere, where children feel safe, respected, and celebrated. With over 20 cultures represented, including a strong Pacifica presence, the school embraces diversity through cultural events, murals, and service programmes. Staff are collaborative, professional, and genuinely committed to the success of every child. Class sizes are very manageable, with 26 students expected in the Year 8 class next year. There is the opportunity to lead PE, sport, and student leadership programmes if interested.

We are seeking a highly effective, passionate, and caring NZ‑qualified teacher to join the senior school team. The successful candidate will bring energy, creativity, and adaptability, and will be able to build strong, culturally responsive relationships with learners, whānau, and colleagues. A passion for culture, diversity, and inclusive pedagogy is essential, as the school places high value on celebrating and upholding the identities of all learners. While applicants do not need to be Catholic, they must be willing to teach Religious Education and uphold the special Catholic character of the school. Sponsorship support can be provided for the right teacher.
To Be Successful, We Are Looking for Teachers With:
• A Level 7 teaching qualification in Primary (or NZQA‑approved equivalent)
• Experience in a primary and/or intermediate school setting
• Current NZ Teacher Registration (or in the process of obtaining it)
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand
• Availability to start Term One 2026
