At our intermediate school, collaboration and growth are at the heart of what we do. Teachers get up to 30 hours of release time each term, and twice a week, syndicate teams meet for 1.5 hours to plan, collaborate, and focus on professional development.
Your role will include crafting engaging lessons for Year 7 and 8 students that bring the curriculum to life. You’ll integrate Te Ao Māori and sustainability to create meaningful learning experiences, foster a positive classroom where critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork flourish, and build strong connections with students, parents, and whānau. You’ll also help shape and improve our localised curriculum.
We’re looking for someone with a New Zealand teaching qualification and a genuine interest or experience working with intermediate students. Your teaching style should be effective and adaptable, and you should be passionate about inspiring creativity, innovation, and problem-solving. Teamwork with colleagues and engagement with whānau are essential, along with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
