Job Overview This very large, diverse secondary school in central-west Auckland is looking for high quality teachers for the 2026 academic year. The Principal is travelling to the UK to interview teachers in London and Birmingham.

The role:
Teach a specialist subject (ages 13-18) and have subject matter expertise in the area you teach. We are currently looking to arrange interviews for English, Mathematics, Science, Geography, Psychology, Physical Education/Health, Food technology/Hospitality and Technology subjects.
You will be expected to participate in the extensive co-curricular life of the school.
You bring:
A PGCE and a subject specialist degree.
Proven success in securing strong outcomes with mixed-attainment classes through explicit teaching.
A team mindset and professional, positive communication.
Enthusiastic involvement in professional learning & development.
Location: Auckland, NZ Situated in central-west Auckland, the school is on the footsteps of the Waitakere Ranges, a forested volcanic mountain range and heritage area known for its nature activities. It features native rainforest, black sand surf beaches and waterfalls making it a popular place to walk, hike and mountain bike.
Pay & eligibility
Salary and conditions per the NZ Secondary Teachers’ Collective Agreement.
Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand registration (or eligibility to register) and police vetting required.
We can guide overseas (UK) teachers through NZ registration and visa steps; relocation grant of $10,000NZD can be claimed once you have arrived to take up your role.
Start date: January 2026 (Term 1) or by negotiation.
