We are searching for a NZ-experienced maths teacher to deliver a senior mathematics programme  on a two year fixed-term contract.

The successful applicant will bring expertise in NCEA, alongside the creativity and enthusiasm to design learning experiences that extend well beyond the classroom.

This independent school with only 48 students and 7 teachers including the Principal who also teaches.    The class sizes are small - usually under 11 so they can utilise the minivans for excursions outside of the classroom.  Your math classes for next year would have 12 students at this stage, and these are highly motivated and engaged senior students (Year 12 & 13 only).

Key responsibilities include:
  • Teaching NCEA Level 2 and 3 (statistics, algebra and calculus)

 Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • New Zealand teacher registration 
  • Proven experience teaching mathematics NCEA at senior levels
  • Strong capability in innovative pedagogy, the use of AI and digital tools
  • A passion for personalised learning and engaging students in meaningful ways
 
The school offer salary at 8% over the collective agreement.
