Intermediate Music Specialist – Inspire Young Musicians in West Auckland

Passionate About Music Education? Inspire Young Musicians at a Fun, Values-Based West Auckland School

Our client school is looking for a passionate and creative Intermediate Music Specialist to join their team permanently from Term One 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at a supportive, low-turnover school where relationships come first, students are at the centre of everything, and staff enjoy a genuinely fun and relaxed work culture (including Casual Fridays!).

The school is accredited and welcomes both New Zealand-trained and overseas-trained teachers, making this a great opportunity for educators looking to teach or relocate to Aotearoa New Zealand.

About the School:
This school operates within a strong values-based framework, underpinned by Positive Behaviour for Learning (PB4L). Respectful relationships, empathy, and student wellbeing are central to the school’s philosophy.

Teachers here prioritise relationship-building first and foremost, because great learning begins with trust and connection. The team is collaborative, long-standing, and committed to creating a fun, student-centred environment where both tamariki and staff thrive.

The Role:
Intermediate Teacher ages 12-13 (Home Room + Music Specialist)

Start Date: Term One 2026
Contract: Permanent

  • A teacher with a passion for music education and inspiring young musicians

  • A relationship-focused approach with students, whānau, and colleagues
