We may be small in size, but our aspirations are anything but. Our ākonga are at the heart of everything we do, and we take pride in the strong, positive relationships we build with our students and their whānau. 

This semi-rural secondary school serves a farming community and caters to 200 students from Year 7-13.  Teaching Calculus to Year 13, and science from Year 9, you will be the only full time maths teacher in the school.  The Assistant Principal teaches Year 12/13 Statistics, Year 7/8 teachers teach math as part of their homeroom subjects and a couple of other teachers cover the other math classes as required.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has a proven track record of teaching calculus up to NCEA Level 3.
• Is proactive with a can do attitude.
• Works collaboratively with colleagues and is able to build strong relationships with students andtheir whanau
• Is committed to positive behaviour for learning, restorative practices, and culturally responsive teaching, ensuring every ākonga is seen and valued
• Is organised and motivated
• Is ready to immerse themselves in the vibrant life of our school and wider community
