We are working with a Catholic secondary school (Years 7–13) seeking to appoint an experienced and values-driven Head of Faculty – Religious Education. This is a permanent, full-time leadership opportunity commencing Term 2, with management units and a middle leadership allowance available for the right person.
The school offers a strong academic environment grounded in a Mercy charism, with a clear commitment to faith, learning, and the holistic development of young people. This role would suit a positive, enthusiastic, and innovative leader who is passionate about Religious Education and pastoral care.
The successful applicant will:
Provide strategic and curriculum leadership for Religious Education
Demonstrate strong classroom practice and subject expertise
Be willing to teach supporting subjects (please state in your application)
Take responsibility for the pastoral care of a group of students across all year levels
Contribute positively to a collaborative and professional staff culture
Demonstrate a willingness and ability to participate in religious instruction appropriate to the Catholic special character of the school
Engage actively in the co-curricular and wider life of the school
