About the Role:

The successful applicant will teach across a range of Hard Materials Technology subjects and play a key role in supporting students as they develop practical and design-based skills aligned with NCEA and BCATS frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, hands-on lessons in Hard Materials Technology
Support students in developing practical, industry-relevant skills
Prepare and assess student work in alignment with NCEA and/or BCATS standards
Contribute to the development of a future-focused technology curriculum
Collaborate with a dedicated and forward-thinking department
Participate in co-curricular and whole-school activities
What We’re Looking For:
A qualified and registered teacher (NZTC or eligible to register)
Experience teaching Hard Materials Technology at the secondary level
Familiarity with NCEA and BCATS frameworks
A National Certificate in Carpentry Level 4 (advantageous but not essential)
A team player who thrives in high-performing, collaborative environments
Commitment to inclusive teaching and positive student outcomes
Legally entitled to work in New Zealand or eligible via accredited employer pathway
