Prospero Teaching is working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in the Otago region to appoint an English Teacher for a Term 2 start. This is a maternity cover position, offering a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and high-performing school environment. The role will suit a passionate and adaptable English teacher who is confident delivering engaging lessons across the secondary curriculum and contributing positively to the wider school community.
About the role:
Fixed-term maternity cover commencing Term 2
Teaching English across junior and/or senior levels (depending on experience)
Full-time position
Supportive department with strong leadership and mentoring
About you:
Qualified secondary English teacher
Current or eligible registration with the Teaching Council of New Zealand
Strong curriculum knowledge and classroom management skills
Ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
Overseas-trained teachers with NZ eligibility are encouraged to apply
